Finding Your Birth Control

August 22nd, 2009

If you are looking for the best birth control pill to control your acne or control your periods or otherwise, I would suggest the best thing to do is to do your research.  Frankly, I would never recommend the shot or those insertion ones they have.  It can absorb into other parts of your body, and frankly with the shots, your chances of breast cancer, heart disease, and other complications of some birth control methods go substantially up.  You can’t smoke with it either.  But the biggest thing is that you have to actually remember to take care of yourself and figure out which one works for you.  Be patient, because your body can take up to a few months to adjust to any birth control method, and spotting and otherwise complications will decrease over time.  But at the 3 month mark, if after that these complications continue, I would frankly consider changing your birth control to another pill or another method in general.  It means that there are other problems going on.  And of course if you have an allergic reaction, well that changes things.  It forces you effectively speaking to reconsider all your options and decide upon something that would work a little better among other things.
