Dermabrasion

September 4th, 2009

Dermabrasion is an interesting procedure. I am ashamed to admit I use it.  Sometimes I don’t always have the money for it, which is unfortunate really.  But when I do have the money, I know all the side effects, and yet I also see how great my skin looks after, and frankly I really see how my acne goes down and my skin glows after.  Now I wear serious protection right after in the form of clothing in that particular area, and I swear I look very strange to most people.  But your skin is so sensitive to the sun right after it’s horrible.  And I have pretty hardy skin.  But realistically think about it, they are using little metal brushes to spin away several layers of your skin, which really can’t be all that gentle, no matter what you like to think about it.  I’ve bled a couple times because they botched it, and they promptly had measures to prevent scarring and all that.  But I can tell you I never went back to those particular places.  Either way, it’s not something I would recommend at all to those with sensitive skin considering all that happens with my skin and it’s pretty tough.  But if you can, well it’s not a particularly horrible skin.  Just make sure to take precautions afterwards.
