Every once in a while, I take care of a poodle who I swear has more acne than I do. My dogs have never had acne, but this one does. It just appears as this little bump by his skin, and whenever I give him a bath and I’m drying him, I just end up popping it and then we’re good. Generally speaking interestingly enough, after I pop his, they go away and they heal up. Mine never worked exactly that way, but apparently with dogs or at least this dog, it’s a bit different. Generally speaking, when dogs do suffer acne, it’s pretty mild. And frankly, it can appear as a manifestation of other things such as ringworm, mite infestation, or it could just be something your dog happens to have every once in a while. You should visit the vet just to check out the possibilities in terms of conditions it could be a sign of. However, in most cases, it’s just acne, and you can just do the whole squeezing it out and then of course disinfect it. For most dogs, you should be fine after that. But a big thing is to remember to keep them clean just like you would yourself.
